Bonjour!
Tokio Hotel: Bonjour!
Ahh! They know how to say Bonjour! That's cool!
So how are the French fans treating you?
Bill: We had a great welcoming, this time as well as last time. The concerts are great and there are always fans waiting for us outside the hotel! They are very dedicated!
There are also people in France who don't know you, what does Tokio Hotel mean? (I think all the fans already know the answer to this question lol)
Bill: The name Tokio Hotel has no real significance, we were looking for a name, and since we love big city's we thought oh Tokyo's great, it's a really cool city. So after we looked for a symbole that would describe us and since we are always in hotels we thought that it really described us. So that's why we are called Tokio Hotel.
So you are four guys, you are 24 hours together, isn't there tension between you?
Tom: No not at all, we have been together for 6 years now and we know each other well! Everythings good. Certainly when we have been together for a long time like on a long tour or something there can be little arguments sometimes like when we don't all agree on something but there are never any real big fights! We always seperate rooms in our hotels so when we want to see each other we can. For now everything is going good and I think it will stay that for a pretty long time!
Then the interviwer talks about Schrei for a bit and how it's coming out in France soon.
So can you tell us what to expect from this album? What is it about?
Bill: It's actually a mix of a bunch of different things! We have ballads, we also have a lot stuff that is very rock, A lot of different subjects are covered in this album! For example, there's this one song that talked about devorce, this is something that has affected us. In our song, we talk about stuf that interests us, sometimes we talk about stuff that our friends tell us, problems that people our age go through, each song has it's own message to deliver.
Are you a group that preffers recording in the studio playing live?
Bill: The best thing is to play live, we have a lot of tours and we play a lot of shows, it makes us really happy. Of course the studio is interesting aswell, writing a song recording it... They're both fun but playing live is definetly the best!
We have received a lot of e-mails from fans, the most significant question is is all of you are virgins?
All: Ya.
Tom: Ya for now we don't have steady girlfriends so we're virgins.
So another question from your fans, would you go out with a fan?
Tom: Of course, why not? It's not unimaginable. If it goes well and the feeling is good then why not? (haha that's so Tom : p)
Aren't you worried that they'll just go out with you because your Tokio Hotel and not for you?
Bill: I think that we can trust our fans, the fact that someone would be with us just because we are celebrities could happen with people that aren't our fans, because our fans know us, love our music, know our songs, know our personalities and respect us I think we can trust them! On the other hand, if we meet other people that don't know us well then we could ask ourselves, do they just want to be with us because we are celebrities?
We had a contest where the winner would get to ask you guys a question, the winners name is Sabrina, she is here with her friend and they will both get the chance to ask you one question
Sabrina: What our your goals for you professional life and what are your goals for your personal life? Do you want to get married and have kids?
Bill: Well it's a bit to early to get married and have kids, we're still very very young so for now we don't know, the future will tell us! For now we're really concentrating on what we do best: music. After that we'll see what the future has in store for us!
Friend: Do you compare the French fans and the German fans? Are they different?
Tom: It's hard to say because just like here, in Germany we are very well welcomed by our fans! The screams are just as lou dhere as they are there! Maybe the theatres are smaller here than in Germany, but that's not necesarily a bad thing, the fans are just as great here as they are in Germany! And even if the stages aren't as big and the volume is different the feeling is real, the same as it is in Germany.
What's the craziest thing a fan has done for Tokio Hotel?
Gustav: There really are a lot of things but what I notice are the big signs that are made by the fans and brought to concerts. It's cool because while we're playing we can look at them a little bit, we can read the different messages, it's a really cool thing.
You're currently recording your second album, what's it going to be called?
Bill: We're still working on it and for now we don't know what it will be called, so there's no secret and it's not because we don't wan't to say it, we're waiting to be finished recording it to give it a title. We are almost done the album but we don't really want to talk about it, we want to keep the suspens and for now there isn't even a release date for Germany! So for now it's all pretty vague but we can say that it won't take us that much longer!
What do you do in your spare time? Do you play video games?
Tom: We sleep a lot! It could be shocking because of our age but since we are always under a lot of stress, moving, and travelling we need some rest when we have days off, so we sleep a lot, watch TV, eat, pass time with our families, sometimes we visit our friends, but mostly we sleep a lot.
You can't really go out in public anymore, people recognize you everywhere! How do you deal with that?
Bill: Sure it's hard and we can't go out like we used to, when we are alone we wear hats or something so that people don't recognize us!
